  3. Appreciate the relevance of mind-body skills groups to the treatment of trauma


Description:
Dr. Gordon will discuss the causes and symptoms of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and describe the way that mind-body approaches can be used to repair disturbed psychological and physiological functioning.

The emphasis will be on integrating a variety of approaches - meditation, guided imagery, biofeedback, and self-expression (through words, drawings and movement) in the small and large group programs developed at The Center for Mind-Body Medicine.
