HOW TO ENROLL IN CERTIFICATION TRAINING

(1) Begin by enrolling in and completing the program Fundamentals of Interactive Guided Imagery^sm (FIGI^sm). When done, complete and send the following to the Academy:

(a) Your final examination
(b) Your signed Home Study Program Agreement
(c) Your Evaluation Forms
(d) Your Needs Assessment Form
(e) Your Continuing Education Application and Fee, if desired

(2) Read, sign, and return your Student Contract, making sure that you agree fully with all the terms and conditions associated with Certification Training. The Student Contract is a formal agreement between you and the Academy and it lists the requirements for Certification, tuition costs, fees, safeguards, protected terms, and other Academy policies.

(3) Complete and return the Enrollment Form, indicating which course(s), program(s), or payment plan(s) in which you wish to enroll. If you choose an extended payment plan, be sure to sign the Promissory Note.

(4) Submit a copy of your state license to practice as a health professional, if you have one, or a copy of your student ID card if you are a full-time student pursuing a credential that will lead to a professional license.

(5) If you do not have a professional license, please submit a brief (one to two page) application letter describing:
(a) Your goals in learning IGI^sm
(b) Your plans for using it
(c) Your access to psychological consultation or supervision, if needed
(d) Any previous training or experience you've had in counseling,
and
(e) A copy of your CV or resume.

(6) Enclose your check or credit card information for tuition, fees, and/or the first payment on the Extended Payment plan you have selected.

(7) Upon your satisfactory completion of the FIGI^sm program and our receipt of all completed forms and payments, we will send you a welcome packet and the ATS/1A and ATS/1B home study courses. When you complete these courses, return your self-administered final examinations to the Academy. Upon satisfactory completion, you are then eligible to attend your first Preceptorship. Complete two more home study courses (ATS/2A and ATS/2B) with some practicing time in between, and you're ready for your second Preceptorship. After that, you only need to complete the four final home study courses and your Independent Study requirements and you're done.
