Presenter: Kenneth R. Pelletier, PhD, MD(hc)

Objectives:
Participants completing this presentation will be able to:

  1. Define integrative medicine.
  2. Identify two evidence based applications of MindBody Medicine.
  3. Cite one example of the cost effectiveness of integrative medicine.

Description:
Integrative medicine is the "evidence based" integration of
conventional and alternative medicine. Such an approach, which includes
MindBody medicine, can result in improved clinical and cost (ROI)
outcomes for both individual and corporate health programs.

This presentation provides a definition of integrative medicine, results of
ongoing research projects with the Corporate Health Improvement
Program (CHIP), and a state of the art overview of the return on
investment (ROI) evidence for the effectiveness of such interventions.
