One of the greatest challenges in all relationships is establishing effective communication between the participants. What one says is often not what the other hears, and when conflicts occurs, they are usually attributable to a breakdown in communications.
This course explores ways of being more authentic and
effective when we communicate with parts of ourselves
("inner communication"), with others ("outer
communication") and with a higher power when we pray
("upper communication").
The topics covered range from dealing with "Inner Advisors"
and "Inner Critics," modes of communication, the importance
of active listening, ways to increase attentional focus,
how old baggage and old tapes can contaminate new
relationships, imagery, state, and gender filters, and
dialoguing with a higher power.
